Artist Statement
As an emerging artist, my practice centres on ceramics and sculpture, where I explore my fascination with versatility, motion, and the ever-changing nature of the clay itself. Through tactile engagement with clay and sculptural mediums, I seek to reflect both the resilience and fragility of our environment as well as the parallels between the shifting landscape and the human experience.
I explore the concept of change and growth within imperfection as a metaphor for self-identity and independence. Cracked, incomplete, and yet continuously transforming.
Within my evolving conceptual practice, I am increasingly drawn to deconstructing and reconstructing shapes.
Ultimately, my practice is an inquiry into the interconnectedness of emotion and identity. Through clay, texture, and form.
